There's so much going on... I keep getting offers from various booking agencies to play live, but I can't do it yet, because J.E.L.L.i. live has not been rehearsed or even thought through thoroughly yet.. I'm upset, because I HATE turning down opportunities.. but what can I do? I'm just not ready... I will be for the summer, but not yet..
My friend Krissy interns for indimusictv.com she says that if I make a music video, she can hand it off to them for me.. I got three different offers to record music videos for this summer, but i'm so pre-occupied with recording, rehearsing and promoting that I have spent less than the time it takes to eat a cookie thinking about concepts for my music videos.. (hehe subliminal preparation.. don't worry about this parenthesis...)
Not to mention J.E.L.L.i. is in the beginning baby stages of its business and income from "The J.E.L.L.i. EP" won't cover the cost of making a video.. hehe unless YOU BUY IT!! =D (if you already did, thank you... if you already didn't... well =( Please?
I've also submitted "The J.E.L.L.i EP" to dozens of online music blogs and am awaiting replies... I already got one reply and they said they'll be writing a review about it sometime this week!! I'll be sure to post that.. but the hard thing about submitting stuff to music blogs is that you just gotta keep sending and sending and sending and submitting and submitting and submitting until you finally get a reply... and that's just the way those things go...
I have also decided that i'm not going to go on the internet until the evening of every day... Because when I log on in the morning, i have a barrage of e-mail myspace facebook twiiter smashingpumpkins.com messages, and don't get me wrong, i LOVE talking to fans, i LIVE for connecting with people and enjoying them... but three hours fly by before I even know it.. and that time needs to be spent RECORDING BASS!! I only have like 8 more songs to record and then i'm DONE with bass for all 25 songs!! I'm SOOOO FRIGGIN CLOSE!!! So going on the internet will be a luxury reserved for when all my recording and rehearsing is done for the day... it just has to be that way... ...don't know what else to say... i'm just going to rhyme myself away.... here is where I cannot stay... J.E.L.L.i. is an all-you-can-eat musical buffet, good day.. ;)
Oh Yeah!! and "Aussie" Dave Kirwan (the late great K-ROCK JOCK)
wants to use my music in a documentary that he's shooting... Nice!
