The Most Amazing Month of March and New Opportunites for April

I talk to hundreds of people on the internet, I share my music with them, and I connect with them. I love people, I am a people person, and everyone knows that..
Most of the time, when a new person hears my EP, they'll listen to it,  love it, and then say something really nice to me, and then usually that's it. That has been the typical reaction from the majority of new internet fans..  They stop in now and again to talk to me, touch base and say what's up...  But some people do more than just that..  some people take their appreciation much further, and I wanted to take the time to write this blog and thank them..   First to my wonderful friend from Hamburg Germany,  Natascha... She's written about me several times in her Art Blog, and on other German blog sites.. she also drew me this beautiful picture and sent me this card..

Natascha started talking to me about 2 months ago... Towards the end of January..  and since then, I don't think I can remember a single day that's gone by that she hasn't written something inspiring, kind, loving or beautiful to me..  In the card, she placed one of her prized possessions, a guitar pick that was used by Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins... (which is our favorite band..)  She wants me to use this pick to write more beautiful music with... and I promise I will...     Natascha you've been one of the truest fans I have and I love you for all you've done for me..

My other amazing fan is IZZY! (Aida) but I call her Izzy...   we started talking just a few weeks ago around my birthday,  and since then she's already written about me in her school news paper, got my music to be played in her school during passing in between periods, and created the very first "J.E.L.L.i." T-shirt!!  and to tell you the truth,   the number of visits to JELLiMUSIC.com this month are almost DOUBLE the number of visits from last month..   and I do think Natascha and Izzy have a lot to do with that..     Izzy Shmizy,  I can't thank you enough for all you've done..   My love and appreciation goes out to you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart...

MARCH has been a FANTASTIC month for J.E.L.L.i.      FANTASTIC..  and it all started on March 1st when I called up K-ROCK and got plugged on the air,  ahh... and by the way,  i've been in touch with the DJ that plugged me ("Aussie" Dave Kirwan) and check out this message:

YO
JELLI

whats your number... i wanna call you and run something by you which could get your music some publicity...

cheers

Dave

I feel another studio isloation week coming on...

A while back,  sometime last year,  I cut off the world and recorded for a week straight with almost no contact to anyone,  with excellent results..
I can feel another wave of that coming..  pretty soon i'm going to ride a light beam into sunshine studios and lock the door,  writing and recording bass line after bass line, and maybe even get the 8 songs that I have left for bass completely done!!   and then it'll be onto drums...

A one man band is an extreme situation, and it needs to be met with an equally extreme focus and dedication to succeed. I can't be a part of regular social behavior until this album is finished, for sale, and my live show is ready to hit the road..     it's time to really pick up the pace..

I'll still be talking to people online at the end of the night, but only if and after my work is finished for the day...   I need someone to keep me accountable... so i think i'm going to post a list of goals in the morning, and then at the end of the night, i'll post how many of them I finished...

I like the thought of being accountable to you because it'll make me work more seriously.. and please,  if you see me slacking...  smack me (with love)    Thank you..

The other day I wrote part of a bass line for a song called "Who You Are"  and it really adds to the emotional impact of the song..  it's a very deep song with a lot of purpose.. I think it has the ability to help people unplug from the 1000mph pace of society and really just stop, disconnect from it and re-define themselves. Because sometimes you get lost in your life and society shapes you without you even realizing that you're becoming something you don't want to be...   I want this song to be able to give people a new found sense of purpose and honesty with themselves..

In the words of incubus:  "MAKE YOURSELF"

I wish all of my songs were therapeutic like this,  but some are just for fun..  but you know what...  fun IS therapy! so I guess all my songs are therapeutic..   I want to be a musical doctor when I grow up...
